An Irish chef and owner of a restaurant in Japan, Alan Fisher, has broken two cooking-related Guinness World Records titles.

Chef Fisher first claimed the longest cooking marathon by an individual after cooking for 119 hours and 57 minutes.

The time spent by the chef is more than 24 hours longer than the record held by Nigerian chef Hilda Baci.

Alan also claimed the longest baking marathon by an individual, with a time of 47 hours 21 minutes, to beat the previous record holder Wendy Sandner from the USA with a time of 31 hours 16 minutes.

More impressive about Alan’s cook-a-thon was that he attempted baking and cooking at the same time which means he was at work in the kitchen for over 160 hours with a day of rest in between.
