American School Pledge To Return $720,000 School Fees Yahaya Bello Paid For Children

In regards to the case of fraud levelled against the former governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, the American International School in Abuja has pledged to return the $720,000 tuition fees Bello paid for his children.

Recalled that in a new development the EFCC revealed that before the expiration of Bello’s term in office, he used $720,000 from the state fund as part payment for his son’s fees including a toddler who is yet to start schooling.

Reacting to the development, in a document forwarded to the anti-graft agency the school requested for the bank details of the EFCC to make a refund pending the ongoing investigations concerning the Bello’s family.

The school further gave details of the total amount Mr Bello has paid as fees from 2021 as $845, 852.84 and after deducting educational services $760, 910.84 will be returned to the EFCC confers.
