The former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emeifele has finally been taken to court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Wednesday.

EFCC brought the suspended CBN boss to the Federal High Court in Abuja after they failed to honour an order given by the court to produce  Emefiele in court or release him unconditionally.

The court’s order was adjourned to Wednesday due to disobedience from the commission.

The agency however complied with the order as Emefiele was led into the court by heavily armed operatives.
