Gunmen Kidnap Former Power Minister’s Sister in Oyo

It has been over two weeks since the students and teachers of Oriire LGA have been locked up by their captors, and just this morning, another kidnapping case was recorded in Ibadan South LGA.

Videos circulating online indicate that the kidnapped individual is the sister of the former Power Minister, Adebayo Adelabu, who resigned to contest a gubernatorial position under the ruling party.

In a statement released, Mrs. Busayo Adegoke John-Paul, 43, was taking her twin boys (Peter and Paul), who are 12 years old, to school when the incident occurred.

Reports gathered indicate that Mrs. John-Paul is the youngest of the Adelabus; however, their whereabouts are still unknown.
