2027: Dickson Urges INEC to Restore Omitted NDC Candidates

The National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Senator Seriake Dickson, has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to urgently rectify the omission of several of the party’s governorship candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a statement posted on his official Facebook page on Thursday night, the former Bayelsa State governor assured affected candidates and party faithful that the national leadership is actively engaging commission officials to resolve the discrepancy.
Dickson emphasized that all affected candidates completed their internal documentation and statutory registration with the party well before the mandatory 21-day legal deadline prescribed by the Electoral Act.
Urging party members and candidates to remain calm, the lawmaker expressed confidence that the electoral body would review the submissions and publish the corrected list of validated candidates promptly.
