Take Ownership of Your Primary Healthcare Centers says ACOMIN

The Civil Society on Malaria Control, Immunization and Nutrition, ACOMIN, on the Covid-19 response mechanism, community system strengthening for health, has advised persons in their various communities to take ownership of their Primary Healthcare Centers to help solve health challenges.
The Delta state Lead Co-ordinator for HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, ATM programme, Greg Sifo, gave the advice during a monthly coordination meeting with Programme Officers of the Community Based Organisations, CBOs, SACA, MSH, the state Primary Healthcare Development Agency, state Malaria Elimination Programme and state Tuberculosis and Leprosy Control Programme.
Sifo who disclosed that the Global Fund working to curb HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria in our various communities through the National Agency for the Control of AIDS, will soon withdraw its support. Insisting that only sustainability can help achieve the aim of curbing these diseases.
The State Programme Officer for ACOMIN, Juliet Obiajulu, who also lended her voice to the call for collaboration, encouraged CBOs to continue to contribute their quota to the success of the programme as it will positively affect the lives years after the programme must have elapsed.
