Equip your military, which is a far better option, rather than bringing in contractors which will make the nation, said General Christopher Musa, the Chief of Defence Staff, to Senator Ali Ndume.
Ndume had earlier suggested that military contractors should be employed to help tackle Boko Haram, especially with the six persons and five abductions at the recent attack in Ngoshe, Borno State
However speaking on Arise TV morning show, the Defence Chief recounted issues of military contractors in Mali and Iran and the aftermath of the effect in the nations.
Musa revealed that informants give Boko Haram information on their movements and strength, but with joint training from European and American forces, capacity will be built towards defeating terrorism.
He urged Nigerians to be patient with the military force and support their operations as the force is not where it used to be.
