Letters From CSU Conflicting, Supreme Court

Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party has urged the Supreme Court to admit fresh documents against President Bola Tinubu
Lead counsel to Atiku, Chris Uche, SAN, pointed out on Monday that the issue of Tinubu’s certificate saga is an unconstitutional matter that needs to be handled for the sanity of all.
He therefore urged the court to adopt the application and grant their request.
However, President Tinubu and his counsels kicked against the plea, arguing that it was a pre-election matter amongst other factors and prayed the court not to accept the application.
Justice John Okoro, chairman of the 7 man panel hearing the appeal filed by the PDP and its candidate therefore said criminal matters have to be proved beyond reasonable doubt.
“But in this case, there are two conflicting letters from the CSU, one authenticating the president’s certificate and another discrediting it. Which do we rely on?” he asked.
