Ibusa Community lauds Governor Sheriff over pipe borne water

The people of Ibusa community under Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta state, have expressed joy over the availability of pipe borne water provided by the Ministry of water resources under the governance of Sheriff Oborevwori.

The community having suffered dryness for a long time now said their survival pattern has been through the gathering of rain water or the purchase of water from water carriers for the past years.

While some persons believed that this gesture will go a long way to save them cost and better their lives, others were pessimistic that the water will keep flowing for a long period of time as they were not certain of the possibility of sustainability culture.

During an inspection of tap installations in strategic areas of the community by the Commissioner for Water Resources, Isaac Tosan Wilkie, accompanied by Commissioner for Women Affairs, Community and Social Development, Pat Ajudua, Commissioner for Primary Education, Kingsley Ashibuogwu amongst other commissioner representatives, the General Manager water cooperation, Okonosa Ridenedu, revealed that over a hundred houses have benefitted as they are willing to connect more households.

Speaking also to newsmen was the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Community and Social Development, Pat Ajudua, who commended the state Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, for providing water which is a basic need for her people, promising that the water will be sustained in every capacity.

However, Commissioner for Water Resources, Isaac Tosan Wilkie, appealed to the people of the community to have a good maintenance culture and protect these already installed taps from vandals.
