Dead Bodies Recovered From Kidnappers Den In Imo State, Police

Imo State Police Command Special Tactical Unit on Monday invaded a suspected hideout of kidnappers in a forest between Avu and Ihiagwa and arrested five of the gang members.
The Special unit was led by the state Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma alongside local hunters following credible information.
The five male kidnappers arrested all hail from Jau Local Government of Jigawa State. They are, 30-year-old Muazu Awuta, Abdullahi Abubakar, 32, Ozeru Sabo, 25, Saddam Suleiman, 27, and 28-year-old Bashir Yahaya.
Operatives disclosed that the suspects are currently undergoing investigation and have provided useful information that will lead to the arrest of other syndicates at large.
On combing the forest two unidentified decomposed bodies were discovered, the command said a DNA test would be carried out to ascertain the suspected kidnapped deceased identities.
Other items recovered from the forest are telephones, wristwatches, shoes, slippers, and five motorcycles belonging to the kidnappers.
Intense operation is still ongoing in the forest and other identified black spots to take out all forms of crime and criminality in the State.
