Cat Lovers In Kenya Fear Cat Tax Plan

Lovers of cats in the Eastern African country of Kenya are crying foul over the new bill intended to confide cats and restrain them from moving around.
In Nairobi City County, a bill has been proposed that all cat owners should register their pets and get them vaccinated.
This means that as a cat owner, one would pay up to 200 Kenyan shillings, which is $1.50, to acquire a licence for a pet and proof to certify that the cat is rabies-free.
With what the City Animal Control and Welfare Bill states, an owner would ensure their pets do not cry or disturb the peace of other residents or the owner would be forced to take full responsibility for the cat’s misbehaviour.
Recalled that the nation recently underwent a protest forcing the government to withdraw high taxes imposed on the public.
