A 24-hour curfew has been placed in three northern states of the nation following the commencement of the hunger strike yesterday as hoodlums infiltrated the protest, looting and destroying government properties.
In Borno, Kano, and Yobe states, the destruction of properties was high as security personnel said Boko Haram killed four persons in Borno and injured 34 at the Baga road in Maiduguri.
To prevent more damages, Governor Babagana Zulum has restricted movement, causing many young children, including alamajiris, to take over the streets, destroying and looting even the Borno State Traffic Maintenance Agency.
Speaking about the curfew, the spokesperson of Borno Command, ASP Nahum Dado, said that the state has suffered a lot and they need caution to handle the situation at hand.
