Bandits Kidnap Students in Kaduna State

It has been confirmed by officials that not less than 312 students belonging to LEA Primary and Junior Secondary School located in Kuriga, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State have been kidnapped by bandits alongside the school principal.

An update to the unfortunate incident was related to the Governor of the state, Uba Sani by Sani Abdullahi a teacher who was able to escape from the kidnapper’s den. He said 25 pupils from the primary school have returned safely.

Relating the information to the Governor and officials, a total of 187 from the primary section, and 125 from the secondary section were abducted by the terrorist on Thursday.

According to teacher Abdullahi, he was clocking in at the staff office when the bandits stormed the school and ordered more than 700 of them to enter the bush which they obeyed, it was inside the bush that some of them were able to escape.

Following the teacher’s escape he alerted the local vigilante group in the community who sprung into action but their efforts were not fruitful as one of the vigilantes was killed in the process and has been buried.

After narrating the ordeal, Governor Sani gave the community assurance that he had communicated with the National Security Adviser (NSA), Malam Nuhu Ribadu and that all students kidnapped would return safely by the grace of God.
