The three Sahel countries, Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger have announced the joint formation of force to help combat jihadist operations in their nation.

In recent years Burkina Faso, Niger and Mali have been experiencing attacks from terrorists which has made greatly affected the nations and even led to disassociating from France and forming more allies with Russia.

In a meeting held in Niamey the Capital of Niger, Chief Moussa Salaou Barmou announced that the joint force between the three counties will commence shortly without giving much details.

It will be recalled that the three Sahel nations pulled out from the ECOWAS following sanctions slammed on them by the bloc to return power to civilians.

However, ECOWAS lifted some of the sanctions and urged the countries to stay in the bloc for economic, political and international reasons.

Earlier before creating this new force, the nations had formed an Alliance of Sahel States, withdrew from international force and G5 which was set to fight terrorists in the region.
