Appeal Court Rules In Favour Of Ken Pela’s Petition Against Gov. Oborewori

The Appeal Court in Abuja has granted the governorship candidate of the Labour Party in Delta State, Ken Pela’s application to head back to the Delta State Election Tribunal to continue his petition challenging the election of Governor Sheriff.

The Delta State Election Tribunal had earlier dismissed LP’s petition against Governor Sheriff on the ground that he abandoned his pre-hearing but on Thursday morning a ruling from the appeal court granted Pela access to the petition.

Pela went to the Court of Appeal because he was dissatisfied with the tribunal’s decisions, among other things for an order to compel the Tribunal to entertain his petitions.
