The governor of Anambra State, Chukwuma Soludo has praised the government of President Bola Tinubu for thriving in a ground of inherited debt.

According to Soludo, the economy passed down to President Tinubu is like a dead horse but still standing.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily,  Soludo said his administration was in empathy for the economic team while responding to President Tinubu’s posture against spending 90 per cent of the nation’s revenue on external debt service.

“This government inherited, from a macro-economic standpoint, I would say the economy was like a dead horse but standing, in macro-economic terms and modelling through this over the coming months will be bumpy, no question about it.”

He also acknowledged the bold step of Tinubu in removing the fuel subsidy which has been a scam for years and how the president is also dealing with the exchange rate at the forex market.
