A Cry For Help From Communities Submerged In Delta Flood

With the constant heavy rainfall, making creeks and rivers overflow their banks, some victims in Abala-Oshimili, Umuoru, Adia-Obiaka, Ase, Onya, Asaba-Asa and other communities in Ndokwa East Local Government Areas that their homes have been submerged in water are appealing for aid and assistant.

Many who have capability have moved from their various communities to areas that are safe while others stayed back on elevated platforms even as farmers rushed to harvest their premature crops.

Some indigene from the Ase community and the Chairman of the Umuolu community lamented the disaster the flood caused. Some have moved to the primary school in Ase, awaiting the kick-off of IDP camps.

However, the Ndokwa East Local Government Chairman, Mr. Vincent Osilonya reavealed that residents are been moved to uplthe and areas.
