Tinubu Appoints New EFCC Chairman

President Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr Ola Olukoyede as the Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Olukoyede a pastor and lawyer with over twenty years of experience is expected to serve for a term of four years, upon confirmation by the Nigerian Senate.

The appointment of Olukoyede follows the suspension and resignation of Abdulrasheed Bawa with allegations levelled against him of abuse of office and was.

Also, Mr Muhammad Hassan Hammajoda was appointed by the president to serve as the Secretary of the EFCC for five years.
