Supreme Court Rejects Atiku’s Fresh Evidence Against Tinubu

The Supreme Court has dismissed the fresh evidence brought by the Peoples Democratic Party and its candidate Atiku Abubakar against President Bola Tinubu.

The evidence from the Chicago State University, CSU, was rejected by the Supreme Court for lack of jurisdiction after the 180-day timeline to determine the election petition had elapsed.

Justice Okoro led panel ruled against the deposition of CSU registrar, Caleb Westberg, that since the time for trial at the Court of Appeal had elapsed, the Supreme Court could not accept fresh evidence on appeal.
