Senate Confirms Musa As Minister Of Defence

The Senate has confirmed the nomination of former Chief of Defence Staff, Christopher Musa, as Minister of Defence following a five-hour grilling by lawmakers on Wednesday.

Earlier, before the confirmation, there was a bit of a chaotic scene after Senator Sani Musa, representing Niger East, suggested that the nominee take a bow and go, but other senators opposed the proposal to excuse the former Chief of Defence Staff from questioning.
