Last week, three kidnappers operating in Otulu, Aniocha South LGA, were apprehended by the Nigerian Army of the 63 Brigade Asaba, foiling their attack on Seth Integrated Farms workers.
On Friday, August 15, a driver of the farm, Mr. Igiri Samuel, and Miss Mercy Iteshi were kidnapped near Oshimili North LGA at Akwu-Akwu Igbo.
With credible information from Seth Farms Management, the military, along with the Delta State House Tracker team, sprang into action. Upon reaching Atima-Iga to Otulu, a gun duel ensued between the security forces and the kidnappers.
The troops stormed the hideout on Sunday, August 17, neutralizing three of the kidnappers and recovering ₦2.4 million in cash, an AK-47 rifle, 52 live rounds of ammunition, mobile phones, and other valuables.
However, a military personnel member and Miss Iteshi sustained injuries and are currently receiving medical attention at a nearby hospital.
