The Nigerian Police command headquarters has summoned Joe Ajearo, Nigeria Labour Congress President, to answer questions based on terrorism financing, treason, and other crimes.
In a notice made online and signed by ACP Adamu S. Muazu, Assistant Commissioner of Police, by 10:00 am August 20, 2024, Ajaero should report at the IRT Complex in Abuja.
The Commissioner’s statement revealed that the NLC president should avail himself at the given time or the police would be forced to issue a warrant of arrest against him.
Recall that NLC had earlier raised an alarm during the #EndbadGovernace strike that Nigeria police raided their headquarters in Abuja and went away with publications and books.
The allegations were refuted by the Nigerian police, and they were just looking for materials used for the #EndbadGovernace protest, but coincidentally, a suspect was traced to the building that houses the NLC.
