Police Officers Withdrawn From Former Kogi Governor, Placed On Wanted List

Former governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello has been placed on a watch list by the Nigerian Immigration Service in order not to travel out of the country.

Security agencies have been alerted by Kemi Nandap the Comptroller-General of  Immigration through the Assistant Comptroller,  DS Umar, that the  Department of State service should look out for the immediate arrest of the former governor.

Before the notice of arrest, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in its Facebook handle declared Yahaya Bello wanted over the failed attempt to arrest him on Wednesday.

Recalled that on Wednesday there was a mild drama at the Bello’s residence in Abuja after he escaped arrest that was launched at him over an alleged N80.2 billion naira money laundering and on the other hand disagreement by the court over his arrest.

Also, the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Kayode Egbetokun, withdrew all policemen and officers attached to the former Kogi governor.

It is reported that Yahaya Bello has been seeking solace at the Kogi State Governor’s Lodge in Lokoja to avoid being arrested.
