After four Boko Haram members were caught in a failed attempt to attack the resident of Atiku Abubakar in Yola, the Peoples Democratic Party is calling for an investigation into the incident.

The attack was confirmed by Police Spokesperson in Adamawa, Yahaya Suleiman on Monday that the suspected Boko Haram members were planning to attack other locations in the city including that of the former vice president.

According to Abubakar media office one of the suspects identified as Jubrila Mohammed, 29, who said they came from Damboa in Borno State was caught while trying to identify the home of Atiku.

The PDP while reacting to the incident on Monday in a press release said the attempted failed attack was meant to silence Atiku and cause problem in the nation.

PDP believes the attack was not far from threats made by the APC to cause chaos and anarchy if the Presidential Election Petition Court does not favour its candidate who is now the president.

The party is calling for tight security around Atiku and his family members and the Inspector General of Police should make do with the confession of the attackers and bring to book their sponsors.

In the press release, the PDP thanked the people of Yola for their support in foiling the attack of the plan urging Nigerians to be calm while an investigation is ongoing.
