On Monday a senior US official said negotiates needs be in place with Iran and urged Tehran to a direct talk in order to help the deal since time is not on their side.

The official said talks need to be in place as Iran’s nuclear program was near breakout on nuclear weapons capability just with few weeks to reaching a deal that will help ease sanctions on country.

In 2018 United States under Donald Trump pulled out and re-imposed sanctions, which made Iran began stepping up nuclear activities.

But Joe Biden’s presidency helped re-launch the negotiations, while Washington has been taking part indirectly, leaving the Europeans to meet the Iranians.

A week ago, Iran said they are open to negotiations with United States for the first time and ready to hold talks with them.
