NNPCL Under Fire For Renting 5 Jets To Rwanda

The Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) board members and executives seem to be entangled in a web of probing, starting from the mismanaged finances of the Warri and Port Harcourt refineries and yet another issue stemming from a trip to Rwanda.
Pressure is mounting on the company following a revelation by an investigative journalist that five private jets were chartered by NNPCL to Kigali for a two-day event.
The jets transported top officials of the company, including board members and the Group CEO, Bayo Ojulari, to an executive retreat.
According to sources, the private jets belong to Abdullahi Bashir Haske, who is the owner of Etihad Oilfield Services, which was earlier blacklisted by NNPCL for cost inflation and is currently under investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for unpaid debts to contractors.
It was also noted that outrages began to pour in before the event, but Ojulari still went ahead with the arrangements and didn’t cancel the private jet bookings.
