Following the swearing-in of retired Vice Admiral Ibokette Ibas as the sole administrator of Rivers State today by President Bola Tinubu, there has been a back-and-forth bashing of the presidency, making fun of democracy.
Among others lending their voices to the expulsion of the Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubura, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) have sent a stern warning to Tinubu.
NLC President Joe Ajaero and TUC President Festus Osifo called on Tinubu to put an end to all the unconstitutional and undemocratic behavior by declaring Rivers a state of emergency and sacking the government.
