Nigeria’s First Lady Advocates free treatment for HIV/AIDS, Elimination of Female Genital Mutilation

Nigeria’s First Lady and wife of the President, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has advocated free treatment programmes for Human Immunodeficiency Virus/ Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome, HIV/AIDS patients in the country.
Speaking during her visit to the Delta State Traditional Rulers Council in Asaba, Tinubu highlighted the impact of HIV/AIDS amongst young people and through mother and child transmission as she emphasized on her commitment to giving back to society through donations and advocacies.
She encouraged traditional rulers to help spread awareness and advocate for health issues, including the elimination of female genital mutilation.
