The Federal Government has commenced a new Digital Postcode for all homes to be easily reached in Nigeria, and the project is expected to be completed by 2030.

The National Digital Alphanumeric Postcode System will assign a unique digital postcode to every home in Nigeria, according to Dada Olusegun, the Special Assistant to the President on Social Media.

Olusegun made the announcement in a post on Friday, stating that the implementation of the system will ensure Nigeria has a smarter, more secure, and digitally enabled addressing system that will improve service delivery, strengthen emergency response, and unlock new opportunities across the nation’s economy.

He said, “The administration of President Tinubu is committed to reforming every aspect of our economy in order to achieve the ambitious goal of creating a $1 trillion economy by 2030.”
