NCC: We have remitted 344bn Naira

The Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Danbatta has said that NCC remitted over 344 billion naira into the Consolidated Revenue Fund (CRF) of the Federal Government in the last five years.

Danbatta stated this on Thursday while briefing the House of Representatives Committee on Telecommunications led by its Chairman, Mr. Akeem Adeyemi, during a legislative visit to the Commission in Abuja.

He said the remittance was beside the over 2.2 trillion naira contributed to the country’s GDP in the second quarter of 2020 by the telecom sector.
