James Bond actor,Sean Connery dies at 90

Sir Thomas Sean Connery has died at the age of 90, his family has said. Sir Sean was a Scottish actor and producer. He was best known as the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films between 1962 and 1983. Connery was in smaller theatre and television productions until he got his break with the Bond films.

Sir Sean died peacefully in his sleep in the Bahamas, having been “unwell for some time”, his son said.

His acting career spanned five decades and he won an Oscar in 1988 for his role in The Untouchables.

Sir Sean’s other films included The Hunt for Red October, Highlander, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and The Rock.
