NAFDAC Uncovers Fake Wines, Spirits In Nasarawa Worth Millions of Naira

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has conducted a raid in some major wine shops in Maraba market, new Nyanya and Masaka areas in Nasarawa State where expensive wine products believed to be fake are sold.

According to a post by the Agency on X on Monday, it showed pictures of wines and spirits worth N41.2 million naira were seized.

The agency revealed that its team is on investigation to uncover importers and manufacturers behind these fake drinks.

NAFDAC, therefore, urged consumers to remain vigilant and report suspicious products to the nearest NAFDAC office for immediate action.
