Military Buries 22 Officers Killed In Niger

The remaining 22 military personnel that died in the Niger State helicopter crash are been laid to rest at the National Military Cemetery in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja.

The announcement of the death of 36 officers in a helicopter shot down in Zungeru, Niger state on August 14th was made known by the Defence Headquarters.

Some of the late officers have already been buried by their families remaining the 22 officers who are been buried today, Friday.

Before the death of the officers, the troops were deployed to Kundu village in Wushishi LGA due to bandits terrorizing the area.

Those present at the cemetery are the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, Chief of Defence Staff, Major General Christopher Gwabin Musa, and other service chiefs.
