Terrorists Release 48 Women Abducted In Borno

48 women abducted by Boko Haram terrorists in Maiwa and Shuwarin villages in Mafa LGA, Borno State have been released after a ransom of NN2.5 million

A counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad, Zagazola Makama, made this known on Thursday in X that the women were kidnapped on Tuesday, August 22 on their farms.

He said Boko Haram abducted the women and took them to an unknown destination where they demanded ransom.

“On Wednesday, August 23, the women were released after paying N50,000 each as ransom to the terrorists,” Makama wrote.

Makama also said that eight of the abducted women had earlier been released after paying N20,000 each as ransom.
