Lawmakers Withdraw Impeachment Notice Against Fubara

The impeachment notice against Governor Siminalayi Fubara of River State has been withdrawn by the state House of Assembly members.

24 lawmakers had signed an impeachment proceedings against the Governor but today Wednesday, that notice was taken back.

The decision was announced by the speaker of the House, Martin Amaewhule, during their plenary at the assembly quarters in Port Harcourt.

The House members based their decision on the resolutions reached during a meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
