Bandits Kill Man In Zamfara For Refusing His Marriage Proposal To Daughter

Bandits in Kwalfada village under Tsafe Local Government Area in Zamfara State have killed a man for not allowing his daughter to marry their colleague.

Information gotten from Mallam Rabo, an indigene of the village, said one of the bandits proposed marriage to one of the girls in the village but the father refused.

Rabo said the girl’s father instead gave her out in marriage to another man in the village instead of the bandit

“After the marriage was contracted, the bandits invaded the community and killed the father of the girl.

“They also asked the husband of the girl to divorce her so that their colleague could marry her.

“They threatened to kill the husband if he did not comply with the directive.

“The husband immediately divorced the wife and she remarried the bandit who took her to the forest,” he said.

He lamented that the bandits had been terrorising the community for a long time and no action had been taken by the authorities to provide security for those living in the village.

Also adding, Rabo said the bandits, a few weeks back imposed a levy of N4 million on the villagers.
