Lai Mohammed Lied About Dialogue With Twitter During 2021 Ban – Twitter Executive

A new revelation has been made by former Twitter now X shareholder concerning the ban that was placed by the Nigerian Government in 2021 on the platform.

Anthony Russell Tatum made claims that the ban placed by the former administration of President Muhammadu Buhari administration over having a dialogue with the platform was all a lie just to save their face.

In June 2021 a post was made by Buhari on X but was later deleted by the micro-blogging platform on grounds of the statement inciting violence and was against Twitter rules and regulations.

Shortly after that, the government through Lai Mohammed the Minister of Information placed a ban on the platform but in January 2022 the ban was lifted after negotiations with Twitter executives.

Tatum however alleged that it was just a show to save the face of the government as there was no solicitation or dialogue with the platform executives, that it was a false claim by Lai Mohammed.
