Free Train Ride From Port Harcourt-Aba Train Service, FG

A section of the Port Harcourt-Maiduguri rail line which connects to Aba in Abia State has been completed for easy transportation within the Port Harcourt, Aba axis.

The project which was started by Former President Muhammad Buhari’s administration would commence commercial services on May 7, 2024.

During the inauguration of the 62-kilometre Port Harcourt-Aba train service, Saidu Alkali, Minister of Transportation made it clear that from May 1 through 4, a free ride will be given to all to encourage train service.

The fare price was however pegged at 1000 naira for VIP and 800 naira for economy class.
