The Eight Eight rally is gaining more momentum with Gen-Z and organizers in Kenyan, as police have set roadblocks on major streets and shops to monitor the event.

In recent times the protest in Kenya has been hijacked by hoodlums according to the organizers.

The Acting Police Chief of the East African county, Gilbert Masengeli on Wednesday had posted on X that extra caution should be taken by the public while in crowded areas as criminals intend to take over the Thursday demonstrations.

He pointed out that the International Airport and State House were a target of these people, but adequate security was placed on the ground.

On Thursday heavy security presence was seen on major roads with roadblocks as many shops were shut ahead of the planned protest against President William Ruto.
