A petition has been filed by the Governor of Kano State, against the immediate past governor of the state and present National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, Abdullahi Ganduje for collecting $200,000 from a contractor.

The case was filed before the Kano High Court with  Ganduje, Hafsat Umar, Abubakar Bawuro, Umar Abdullahi Umar, Jibrilla Muhammad, Lamash Properties Limited, Safari Textiles Limited, and Lesaga General Enterprises as the defendants.

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf also accused Gaduje of collecting $210,000 through an agent contractor in disguise for the remodeling project of the Kantin Kwari textile market based on a viral video in 2018.

The APC national chairman and his allies have denied the video attributing it to be doctored by haters.

Efforts to reach the Attorney-General of the state, Haruna Dederi, were not successful.

With over 15 witnesses ready to testify against Ganduje at the Kano High Court it seems like a long way to go for the former governor.
