Recent findings from a Nigeria daily have revealed how the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) put a hold on the admission of over 10,378 Direct Entry candidates from 2023.

JAMB  suspended the admission of the candidates for failure of the various institutions that comprises Polytechnics, and College of Educations to send verification reports of A-level results of the candidates seeking admission

In February 2023, the examination body issued an advisory to aid candidates seeking admission via Direct Entry in the 2023/2024 academic year to address the issue of fake or forged A-level certification.

The body also went further to advise candidates to make contact with their various institutions to get their certificate verified as only those verified will be accepted.

JAMB also wrote to the various institutions to notify them which some replied but over 240 institutions have yet to give any positive response to the body.
