I Was Shocked With News Of EFCC Chairman – Odumosu

Retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, Hakeem Odumosu had debunked claims that he was appointed chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

It came like wildfire on Tuesday night that President Bola Tinubu had appointed Odumosu to be the chairman of EFCC.

Recalled that the chairman of the anti-graft agency, Abdulrasheed Bawa, was suspended by President Tinubu and Abdulkarim Chukkol was directed to take over the leadership in an acting capacity.

However, in a chat with one of the national dailies on Wednesday, Odumosu debunked the claim that the information about him appointed as the anti-graft agency boss was from mischief makers.

He said so many calls and messages have been flooding him since yesterday and today concerning the purported EFCC appointment.

Odumosu therefore, urged members of the public to disregard the information as false.
