High Court Grant Emefiele Bail In Lagos

Suspended Central Bank of Nigeria governor, Godwin Emefiele has been granted bail of twenty million naira by a Federal High Court in Lagos state.

Emefiele was brought before Justice Nicholas Oweibo on Tuesday and charged with illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.

DSS also accused him of illegally having a single-barrel gun.

To perfect the conditions given by the court, the former governor is to produce a surety with landed property within the jurisdiction of the court in Ikoyi, Lagos state, deposit his passport and a Civil servant not below level 16 who can stand in for him.
