General Lagaba, Army Chief is Dead

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja, has been announced dead by the Presidency at age 56.

In a statement by the Special Adviser of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga disclosed that the Army chief died in Lagos on Tuesday night after a brief illness.

President Tinubu sends his condolences to the late General’s family, his wife, Mariya, and their two children.
