Stephen Abuwatseya, the Bolt driver who was assaulted by House of Representatives member Alex Ikwechegh representing Aba North/South in the National Assembly, has tendered an apology for insulting the lawmaker.

Abuwatseya had gone to deliver a package to the Honorable at his residence in Abuja when an argument occurred between both, and terrible words were exchanged.

In a video released to the press, Abuwatseya appealed to Nigerians to forgive his actions and begged Mascot Ikwechegh for whatever reason he might have provoked him to anger.

He admonished Nigerians to be bonded together and not divided by religion, tribe, or region, as forgiveness opens the door to justice.

Abuwatseya’s apology is coming days after Hon. Ikwechegh issued a public statement, acknowledging his actions and expressing regret over his behavior during the incident.
