In a bid to cushion the effect of the subsidy removal, the Federal Government has promised more Compressed Natural gas-powered stations across the country in the next 90 days.

The reassurance was given on Saturday in Lagos State by the Project Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative, Michael Oluwagbemi,

He disclosed this at the Park to Park CNG Mobilisation program held at the Ojota Park in Lagos that in the next three months, 30,000 compressed natural gas vehicles would be commissioned.

The kits and the conversion costs for the 30,000 CNG were valued at the rate of N1.2m per vehicle, making a total of N36 billion which will be distributed nationwide.

Stressing further, Oluwagbemi noted that the adoption was for an alternative to premium motor spirit which has been sold between N750 to N1000.
