In line with President Bola Tinubu’s initiative of rolling out Compressed Natural Gas to help cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, has said more Gas stations will be open within a space of one year.

Making the revelation, Managing Director of NNPCL Retail, Huub Stokman announced that 100 compressed gas stations would be added to the 11 CNG stations opened in Abuja and Lagos states.

Stokman on Thursday noted that the CNG is 40 per cent cheaper for Nigerians to afford than the regular premium motor spirit.

He appealed to Nigerians to be patient as in the next 12 months more CNG sites would be launched and with continued investments, the process would be a significant part of the energy mix in the country.
