A governorship lobby group in Delta Central senatorial district selected three Urhobo governorship aspirants, Sheriff Oborevwori, Kenneth Gbagi and Olorogun David Edevbie, as the top three for governorship race 2023. The three names are likely to be submitted to the leader of PDP and the state governor for a final choice.

According to Prof. Sunny Awhefeada, secretary of the Screening/Pruning Committee, who read the report said after series of meetings and screening, they recommended Chief David Edevbie, Chief Kenneth Gbagi and Chief Sheriff Oborevwori out of the five governorship aspirants.

The DC-23 National Chairman, Senator Ighoyota Amori, commended the committee for carrying out the assignment given to them.

He pleaded with those who did not make the list to accept the committee’s report and recommendation in good faith, as only one person can be governor at a time.

He noted that the DC-23 leadership shall continue to uphold fairness and transparency in the discharge of its responsibilities without fear or favor.
