DRC Appoints a Woman As PM

Post created on 3:57 pm

On Monday in the Democratic Republic of Congo, DRC, an economist, Judith Suminwa Tuluka, was  appointed Prime Minister.

Tuluka was the planning Minister of the country before she was hand-picked by President Felix Tshisekedi to replace Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde.

Tuluka’s position as the ever first Prime Minister, was only possible following the re-election victory of Tshisekedi in December that oppositions called a sham.

The Prime Minister will use her position to drive the agenda of President Tshisekedi in creating employment, empowering youths and women thereby bringing national peace in DRC.
