The federal high court sitting in Umuahia, the Abia state has ordered the federal government to pay Nnamdi Kanu the sum of 500 million in compensation for damages on the infamous unlawful expulsion or extraordinary rendition of Nnamdi Kanu to Nigeria.

Nnamdi Kanu’s counsel, Barrister Aloy Ejimakor had prayed to the court on 8 counts and all went in favour of Nnamdi Kanu. The judge also requested that Nnamdi Kanu should be returned to the status quo.

During the court sitting, the counsel to the federal government was absent even as the judgment is delivered.

Recall that Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer filed a suit against the federal government of Nigeria to redress the infamous unlawful expulsion or extraordinary rendition of Nnamdi Kanu to Nigeria.
